New Starts: Plum strengthens its underwriting team with two new appoinments

Plum Underwriting is pleased to announce that it has hired two new underwriters to further support the growth of its new business activity and to help maintain its reputation for providing top quality support to brokers and a strong focus on the individual underwriting
of risks.

Caroline Kirkham and Lauren Young have both joined Plum from Towergate where they were responsible for underwriting home insurance including, non-standard household and schemes catering for holiday homes, landlords and unoccupied properties. In their new roles both will report to Underwriting Team Manager, Alisha Waylen, and will focus on underwriting open market new business for Plum’s non-standard household brand ‘Flex’.

In addition to her time as an underwriter at Towergate, Caroline, who has eight years experience in personal lines underwriting, was previously at team leader at Roland Smith Insurance Brokers and a Client Manager at Royal and Sun Alliance (More Than).

Lauren draws on four years experience in the non-standard home insurance field and, prior to joining Towergate was an Adviser in the Renewals Division of Capita Insurance.
